rumor has it
that this is a more accurate picture of me in my latest labor of love - Calm Desert. My new Las Vegas Home that I had the pleasure of decorating AND freshly furnishing. These poofs and the sole TV were the first to arrive... but they say it's a more realistic picture because what you see is what you get.
And it's true. Professionally speaking I am an unlicensed Architect & Interior Designer reincarnated as a Decorist in yoga pants. Yes, yoga pants. Have you seen my portfolio? ...don’t let my attire fool you. I may not have been working for a living the last many years but my labor of loves are evidence of my talent; especially eye for detail.
If you know anything about being a SAHM (Stay-at-home Mum), you know I learned a lot about time management while keeping our house & home together. And therefor I really don't need to tell you that's why I subscribe to what Sam Ewing said: it's not the hours you put in your work that counts, it the work you put in the hours.
It's common knowledge that work-life balance is key to managing our health, mental & beyond. So I need not explain my clever marketing ploy any further and trust that we can agree: it's not what I wear but how I can support your decorating goals that matters!
At the end of the day, I disconnected from my career in Design to raise my son and reconnected with a less obvious part of myself. I’m not so strictly Modern anymore - my taste has expanded. And now, I thrive on Decor; Interiors or Parties are only a matter of scale and treatment for me. In that way, I’m an Equal Opportunity Creative.
